Considered to be a Memphis rap pioneer, and one of the hardest females spitting out there, Gangsta Boo is back at it with her latest mixtape release, “It’s Game Involved”. She got the title from E-40 and it’s certainly her strongest drop in a minute. Her last mixtape, “Foreva Gangsta” dropped in 2011 via Trap-A-Holics.
On this mixtape she vows to take it back to the “Old Gangsta Boo” on “That 90’s Sh*t” and doesn’t disappoint.
Here are SOHH’s 5 Reasons to download Gangsta Boo’s “It’s Game Involved.”
1. The Three 6 History
Gangsta Boo was the first female member of the infamous Three 6 Mafia and appeared on some of their biggest hits including, “Tear Da Club Up” and “Late Night Tip.” Three 6 Mafia was one of the grimiest camps out during the late 90’s and Gangsta Boo was a distinct presence in the group. Her debut album “Enquiring Minds” was produced by DJ Paul and Juicy J and spawned a hit single, “Where Dem Dollas At?” in 1998. She left the group in late 2001 to go the independent route.
