I think it took me this long to develop the chops a director needs. I think and I hope I have it within me to direct a great film if I get the opportunity.
I love telling stories and I love being in charge.
I love to be the one to tell the joke and I love hanging out with actors. I feel like I have some stories that I want to tell. Even scripts of others, a director really puts his or her stamp on something.
I have some stories I want to tell: politically, emotionally, philosophically. I have some stories I want to tell.
It feels like I’m at a point in my career that just maybe I’ll get to do it.
