The Bay Area rap icon drops a classic banger for the streets
Living rap legend Richie Rich makes his highly anticipated comeback to the rap game official with the release of his new video “Mike Vic.” The gritty, no holds-barred street anthem is classic Richie Rich – one of the founding fathers of West Coast Hip-Hop. His new visual showcases his Oakland hometown in an ode to the Bay Area streets. After taking a break from the rap scene for several years, the Hip-Hop icon is back, giving his loyal fans a preview of what’s to expect on his brand new upcoming album “Fed Case.”
Best known for his iconic verse on The Luniz’ remix of the multi-platinum single “I Got 5 On It,” guest appearances on Tupac‘s two biggest albums “Me Against The World” and “All Eyez On Me,” and along with his “Town Bidness” Vol. 1 & 2 albums, Richie Rich’s documented talent continues to keep him relevant in today’s ever-evolving music industry.
“I’m excited because it’s been a minute, but right now is a good time,” Richie Rich says. “The Bay Area is getting a really good look right now with artists like Too $hort and E-40 still successful and newcomers Iamsu!, Sage the Gemini and others. I’m just ready to get back out there.”
